Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
REALTORS® are different from non-member licensees in that they voluntarily subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics. If you believe that a REALTOR® has violated one or more Articles of the Code of Ethics, you can file an ethics complaint alleging a violation(s) through the local association of REALTORS® where the REALTOR® holds membership, or participates in a REALTOR® association-owned/operated MLS. COE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within four-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

Members can check if they are current on their Code of Ethics Training by clicking on the link below and review their record with The National Association of REALTORS. (you will need your NRDS# to look up your record).
NEW MEMBER CODE OF ETHICS
New Members are required to take the Code of Ethics Course in accordance with NAR’s bylaws. If you have never registered to access the REALTOR® only section of to go www.realtor.org and click on “Register” at the top. You will need to create a User Name and Password to access the course. Once your registration is complete, please wait 24 hours before you begin the course. If you have registered previously at this site, click on “Login” on the home page. You will need your User Name and Password to sign in. (to look up your NRDS # click on the link shown above under Existing Member Code of Ethics Cycle 4)
Click on “Take Code of Ethics Training” at the bottom of the Home Page under “Do It Online”. In the next screen, select “New Member Code of Ethics Orientation: Course for NEW REALTORS®”.In the next screen, select “Start the course”.
