New Member Resources
GWBR NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Welcome to The Greater Waterbury Board of REALTORS®! Applicants for REALTOR® membership shall be granted Provisional membership immediately upon submission of a completed application form and remittance of applicable Association Dues and any Application Fee. Provisional members shall be considered REALTORS® and shall be subject to all of the same privileges and obligations of membership. Before Provisional members can be approved by the Board of Directors, they are required to complete a mandatory Orientation program which includes completion of the NAR online Ethics Course for new members.
The term REALTOR® has one, and only one, meaning: REALTOR® is a federally registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. The single most important rule governing the MARK is that it may only be used to convey this meaning, and never used to convey another meaning.
Designed with you in mind, the NAR REALTOR Benefits® Program is your official member benefits resource, bringing you discounts and unique offers on products and services just for REALTORS®. Since Program Partners are carefully selected, you can be assured they understand the unique needs of real estate professionals and are committed to your success. Whether for your professional or personal needs, make this your first place to shop.
The REALTOR® Party is a powerful alliance of REALTORS® and REALTOR® Associations working to advance public policies and candidates that build strong communities, protect property interests and promote a vibrant business environment.
As a REALTOR®, it’s important you have a personal safety protocol in place that you use every day with every client, like when meeting new clients, showing properties or sharing information online.
As a requirement of membership, all new members must complete the NAR FREE online Code of Ethics Course for New Members. A copy of the completion certificate must be submitted to GWBR.
